Wow good time Simon, only another 2mph and you'll have to wear a helmet lol.

What specs your engine?

Think we need to update the times on the 1st page guys.

Thanks Phil.

Engine is now 230.9 bhp @ flywheel and the car is completely stripped but im yet to get it weighed. :?
On the day at Santapod running those times i was running with a faulty Lamdba (fault code 00525) and crappy Dunlop SP 01 Budget tyres which were shockingly bad!!! :o

I will be going down the strip again at VW Action but this time im hoping to have a set of Toyo R888's fitted and also a new Lambda. :-D See what difference that makes!

1/4 mile experts - we all know the key to a good time is the launch, do I need more revs at the launch, or what?

My method = 3k ish, and just dropped the clutch... what's the best technique?

its all about preloading the drive shafts before launch, about 3k will do, soon as the light drops dump clutch,
14.42 with a 2.11 60ft was my best in my standardish mk3 Vr6 (exhaust and filter), should easyily run into the 13's now in the mk2, 12s with a bit of gas
Roll on the 17th of Jan
