i took mine to stealth today for a remap

before mapping it made 196.9hp at 5846rpm + 193.7lb ft at 4183rpm

after 206.5hp at 5790rpm + 205.6 at 4066rpm

spec
2.8L obd1 dizzy engine
ported + polished head
schrick 268 cams ( vince reckons their actually 264's :? )
raceland 6 branch (heat wrapped)
jetex 2.5" system
2.9 inlet manifold
amd ported throttle body
neuspeed pulley's
raceland flywheel
powertec induction kit
atlas grey mk2 vr6 (breaking :( )
06 skoda octavia vrs tfsi
04 black seat leon cupra r 225 (sold)
corrado 16v (when the girlfriend lets me drive it) (sold)
05 honda ctr (when the girlfriend lets me drive it)
suzuki tl1000r
suzuki sv1000s (sold)

Would have hoped for more power on 268s, my mate Clive's mk2 VR is an OBD I 2.9 with 268s and Stealth re-map 215bhp - so maybe yours are 264s?

Mine although OBD II was 216 in the summer - standard head/2.8 with DR268s.

More importantly, what's it drive like?? :up:

it makes 160lb ft from 500rpm lol its definately better more aggressive with better throttle response touch the throttle and its off lol it pushed a mk5 r32 up the outside lane of the m6 on the way back lol

Got mine rolling roaded on Sat at TSR in bridgewater.

2.8 OBD1
201.9bhp and 174 Ib ft
Happy with the power but not happy with lack of torque :(

What spec you running? cus mine only made 192bhp and 174lb/ft at TSR

To be honest i have no idea, the engine was already in another car when i bought it and had been told it had loads of engine work but no recepits to prove it, the previous owner told me it was around the 230 mark but i thought that was a bit optimistic! :?

Hi all, my results from last April.

213.1 BHP (max) @ 5365 rpm
216.95 ft Lbs torque (max) @ 4363 rpm
13.32 @ 108 mph standing quarter with 1.62 60ft on 205 45 16s

Standard 2.8 obd1 coil pack engine with standard cams
car is fully stripped single seat

Mods are:

HM mandrel bent air intake with K&N
HM modified & enlarged inlet manifold with standard throttle body
Standard exhaust headers with HM straight through 2.5 inch exhuast and back box (no cat)
HM electronic lanuch control and shift computer (prototype)
HM portable electronic drag strip computer with ET,0-60, 60ft, mph and distance meauserments

No Andy is local to me in Weston Super mare (bristol area). Beast of a car this is! :up:

13.32 from an n/a motor, thats impressive, where was that at then? pod?

Launch control helps I guess, I could do with that and have actually been toying with the idea of the omex one.....HM? not heard of them before

HM = Home made im guessing. I know he made his own launch control, etc.
