Yes!!
Well I went down the line testing voltages to everything and all the signs led to the crank sensor and as you see on the sensor it doesn't ohm out at all. Just shows zero and it's supposed to be 600-700 to be in spec.
Almost got the exhaust fully hooked up yesterday. Buttoned up the ignition wires and wired it right.
Still need to tuck fuel pump wiring and remove mk2 pump wiring.
Need to supply headlight switch to ml3 cluster.

Mk3 radiator half fitted.
Exhaust hooked up 100% and it sounds great.
Need to put heat shield on top of the manifold
Bolt axles.

Headlight did not turn on. I think the switch is messed up. Like I said previously when I click on the headlights with full brightness of cluster lighting the stereo cuts off. Short some where. I didn't think to turn down the brightness and try again.

Headlights work. Just didn't have a fuse.
Still think the switch is messed up.

Bled the brakes. Bled the clutch. Drive it!!!
Warmed it up aroud the block a few times and found a nice puddle of water and I let it rip. faaattt burn out
I'm on some 13 inch wheels right now pretty narrow.

Oh for future reference. The Eurosport k frame support does not work with ml2 vr.
Assuming the cutting of the rear mount dropped it too low. The trans empty cap thingy touches the brace directly.

Oh and during my burn out I blew out the 3/4 expanding freeze plug.
I'm chalking it up to something broken in the port hole and I couldn't push the plug in too far.

To do ASAP
New freeze plug and fix it right.
Remove Eurosport k frame brace.

Thank you very much!! im happy with the progress.
i drove it yesterday and chirped 3rd gear.

OK NEW STUFF TIME!!
well i decided once i "finish" the mk2 vr6 project i was going to sale my mk3...

well....
i will be honest, most of you are across the pond anyways.
i paid $3600 american for my mk3 gti vr6 about 2 years ago i believe.
schrick cams, schrick intake, chip, header, exhaust, billstien struts, nuespeed springs, bbs wheels...

here is the way i see it...
if i swap the mk2 to 5 lug ( i have every part from donor still)

keep my bbs wheels with brand new $500 tires ($800) ish...
schrick intake ($1000) used, ish price
bilstiens/springs ($1000) BRAND NEW STRUTS i just installed less than 5k miles.
short shift ($0) ?
header ($100)
momo wheel ($60)

already i have $2960, and a stock-ish mk3 to sale...

than i will have a pimped out mk2 vr6 :-)

i will keep updated... give me opinions...

Got a ticket in my mk3 for no registration. Forgot to register it :-(

Ordered a 42dd sai block off. Received. News to install
I have been stripping the paint.... wow... the previous really sprayed the car and his clear coat was lacking.... did not last long...
I did find some rust under the rear bumper which I'm not too happy about but if I cut it out... paint it up... throw on big bumpers you will never see it...
But I like the small bumpers so....

Other than that I have been having to spend my money other places... broke my phone...work just cut down to 35 hours a week..

Car pretty much sits still.. garage kept. :-)
No stickers saying its legal yet so I'm scared to get pulled over in it.

Work is back up to 40 a week, sai delete is installed. I aired down to 20psi and ran against a 2003 gti 24v vr6 from a 30-80 easy win...
25-90 against a 5.0 93 mustang minor mods he got me by a car length and wasn't gaining...
my excuse is my tachometer is off so I'm banging the rev limiter.

A little follow up...
Have put this car on the back burner as my daily drive 1990 8 v had ran I to several problems over the past 3 months. Broken flywheel on the automatic transmission turned I to a 5 speed manual transmission swap, in the meantime I drove my 97 vr6 gti which had a water pump.failure, crack pipe leak, and blew out the heater core. So for about 3 weeks I was daily driving the mk2 vr6 with smiles on my face everyday. But I finished everything and started sanding down the vr swap and my axle on the 97 went bad. Than NY transmission on the 90 went bad. At the same time going through a divorce and a custody battle. Work will pick up extremely after the holidays :-)
