Need some technical info please

Postby D16vGTi » Wed Mar 10, 2010 9:56 am

Right I need some info, anyone that can help please quote this post a fill in the details, no guess work it must all be factual otherwise it could be disasterous....cheers

Maximum idle speed of a n/a VR6?
Does it have piston cooling jets for the oil?
Oil pressure with standard pump (eg 1 bar @ 2000rpm @80 degrees c)?
The most desirable oil pressure?
Most suitable oil viscosity?
Standard capacity of oil?
The oil pump type (eg gerotor, gear or other)?
Speed of standard pump relative to engine speed?

Thats all for now.

Ok according to 2007 Auto data for a Mk3 Golf 2.8VR6 1995

Oil pressure 2bar@2000rpm
Oil capacity 5.7 litres with filters
Commom oil viscosity for moderate climate 10W40, alternative option 15W40

Cant find the other on there mate but theres a start for ya.
