Mk2 VR6 1/4 Mile times

1/4 mile experts - we all know the key to a good time is the launch, do I need more revs at the launch, or what?

My method = 3k ish, and just dropped the clutch... what's the best technique?

i dont rev at all, just wait patiently and when the light go 3/4 throttle in 1st, 3/4 for a bit in 2nd the wot, then wot in 3rd and 4th, i get some decent times, but i have founfd that it doesnt work for averyone

I've always found hot tyres, 3-4k rpm, bring the clutch up smoothly to control the spin in first then dump it into second and away. Works for me!

yeh will be at fest , a little more boost not alot though should be in the 11`s, saving for some rods and injectors then the boost will be turned up properly , all hell will be let loose then
